Sir Guyon

Sir Guyon is a knight in Spenser's Faerie Queene, the personification of temperance and self-control; he subdued the sorceress Acrasia (i. e. intemperance), and was the destroyer of her "Bower of Bliss."

Also spelled as Guion in Areopagitica, John Milton's written oration in defense of freedom of the press.
